We are seeking an experienced Texas attorney to join our growing litigation practice as a future Partner. This unique opportunity is designed for an attorney who is interested not only in practicing law but also in becoming a law firm owner.
The successful candidate will work alongside firm leadership while gradually transitioning into a partnership role, with the opportunity to acquire a 50% ownership interest in the firm. Based on an independent valuation performed by a law firm appraisal specialist, the buy-in opportunity is structured at approximately $150,000 for a 50% ownership stake.
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial attorney seeking long-term leadership, ownership, and succession opportunities within an established and respected Texas law practice.

Responsibilities
-
Independently manage litigation matters from intake through resolution

Handle hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trials

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
-
Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on legal risks and business objectives
-
Maintain and expand client relationships
-
Participate in firm management and strategic planning

Assist with business development and community networking efforts

Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff as the firm continues to grow

Stay current on developments in Texas law, including the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code
QualificationsRequired
-
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active Texas Bar license in good standing

7+ years of litigation experience

Experience independently managing a litigation caseload

Strong courtroom, deposition, and negotiation skills

Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities

Interest in long-term firm leadership and ownership
