Job DescriptionDescriptionAugustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, self-starting Test Engineer to serve at our Systems Integration Facility supporting CPE Ground and Nett Warrior.
Position Description:
The Test Engineer will have opportunities to interface with senior level customers, warfighters, and leadership while performing the following functions:
- Plan and manage assignments, progress, and evaluate results.
- Conduct integration and test activities of application software on multiple platforms that include System Drivers, Android devices, Windows, and Linux machines.
- Conduct integration and test activities on tactical Command and Control Systems of Systems to help determine future hardware and military edge networks.
- Develop detailed Test Plans and prepare Test Reports for both hardware and software evaluations.
- Support military operations such as Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2), Transition in Contact (TiC) Enhance Networks (TEN), and Command and Control Fix (C2Fix).
- Represent the Nett Warrior program, as a technical expert, in support of the Pathway for Innovation and Technology (PIT) Trail Boss teams.
- Analyze and identify system level integration issues and resolve issues and dependencies in a team environment.
- Conduct detailed interaction and follow through actions with development teams for issues and requirements
- Understand Apps and functionality of Apps as a complete system.
- Ensure software builds represent military tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Evaluate test data, assess risks, and develop test result summaries for leadership briefings, Suitability Statements and Milestone Decisions.
- Ensure all Government test planning documents are uploaded to the appropriate databases.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and various stakeholders to identify and resolve problems that cause failures.
- Provides feedback on test trends, returns and vendor performance.

Required Qualifications
- Because this role requires a DoW security clearance, all applicants must be able to prove U.S. Citizenship.
- Due to the sensitive nature of the work being performed, a candidate must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- High School diploma and 10 years of experience, or
- Associate's degree and seven years of experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in a directly related field and one year of experience, or
- Master's degree in a directly related field and zero experience
- Understanding of military communications; voice and date.
- Understanding of IP Architecture and networking devices.
- Ability to work as a member of a small team and disseminate technical reports or information.
- Capable of working independently with minimal oversite.
- Lab and hands-on Debugging Exposure.
- Ability to support moderate travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Nett Warrior or similar Situational Awareness, Command and Control Systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following development tools/environments is desired: Android SDK, .NET SDK, OpenGL, FFMPEG, and SQLite.
- Domain experience in geospatial systems (i.e., moving map display), geo-positioning devices, advanced GPS technology, tactical networking, and/or mission planning solutions desired.
- Experience with mobile applications, Android OS, and Windows preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Mission Command and Control Software to include Nett Warrior, ATAK, WinTAK, Mounted Computing Environment, Command Post Computing Environment, Blue Force Tracker, GPS, Geospatial, Military communications.
- Experience using tactical radios with a strong understanding in communications planning, networking waveforms (MANET), and Common Operating Picture (COP) data flow.
- Experience in building and deploying TAK servers.
- CompTIA Security+
- Experience in Technical Writing pertaining to software products, such as Software Version Description, Software Design Description, and Software Requirements Specification
