Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring the continued performance and safety of all plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have electrical experience, particularly with high voltage and PLCs, as well as welding and fabrication experience. The starting pay is $28/hour.
Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and replace machinery and equipment used throughout the plant
- Perform regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance
- Support mechanical and electrical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Operate tools and perform tasks such as welding, burning, and equipment fabrication
- Respond quickly to breakdowns or maintenance emergencies
- Assist with additional tasks to ensure smooth plant operations
- Comply with all OSHA and company safety regulations; PPE is required at all times
Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- 1–2 years of direct experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry
- Solid understanding of electrical machine maintenance
- Skilled in welding, burning, and working with lathe/milling machines
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Maintenance Technician Working Conditions
- Exposure to: dust, fumes, grease, oil, noise, vibration, water, and extreme temperatures
- Frequent physical activities: lifting, bending, stooping, standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling
