Job Description
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Handling licensing and contracting tasks.
- Performing administrative work for policyholder services, including scanning and forwarding mail (lapse notices, premium invoices) to agents.
- Ensuring agents follow up with clients to prevent policy lapses.
- Tracking producer levels in Agency Works (CRM platform).
- Setting up producer schedules based on production level and payout.
- Manage contracting and appointment processes for life insurance and annuity producers across multiple carriers.
- Handle initial agent onboarding and appointments, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Serve as primary point of contact for licensing-related inquiries and escalations
- Monitor and revolve urgent issues related time-sensitive cases.
- Maintain agent records in CRM and contracting platforms with up to date status and documentation.
- Coordinate the mailing of policyholder service documents, such as lapse notices, beneficiary changes, and other time-sensitive communications.
- Work with sales, case management, and operations teams to support agent success and compliance.
- Look for opportunities to streamline processes and improve the agent’s experience.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience with life insurance and annuity contracting with insurance carriers
- Brokerage General Agency (BGA) experience with multiple carrier platforms
- Proficiency with SureLC licensing platform
- Experience with Agency Integrator or Smart Office CRM platform preferred
- Experience with NIC Insured Connect policy in force system a strong plus
- Excellent verbal communication and strong telephone presence to resolve requests
- Tenacious in working with Home Office personnel with insurance carriers and proactive in meeting deadlines and follow up for completion of requests
- Understanding of urgency with potential insured policy lapse notices and action required
- Life insurance experience, with an understanding of various products (long-term care, asset, disability, life, linked benefit).
- Strong communication skills, especially via email, to ensure clear communication with agents and prevent misunderstandings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, but not required
- LOMA certification (e.g. FLMI, ALMI) a plus
