Certified Athletic Trainer - Orthofast
Ideal candidate will be required to multi-task and provide excellent patient services as an Athletic Trainer for our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares the patient for exam, obtains history and proper imaging
- Assists with in-office procedures
- Splinting and casting application and removal
- Communicates with MD and PA regarding patient care
- Obtains patient clinical information through our electronic medical record system
- Accurately fits patients with Durable Medical Equipment
- Draws injections, as directed by providers
- Facilitates outside services for patient (i.e., Physical Therapy, Radiology)
- Ensures that exam rooms are properly stocked and maintained
Competencies:
- Must have current NATA certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality is a must
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the general public.
Qualifications:
- Must have current NATA certification.
- Two to five years as an ATC, preferably within an Orthopaedic practice is preferred.
- Communication skills are essential as this position interacts with practice providers, management team and staff members.
- Willingness to travel to several clinics on a weekly/daily basis is a must.
- Ability to work one night a week and two Saturdays a month
- Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
