Responsibilities: The Maintenance Apprentice will assist in troubleshooting and maintaining high-speed, high volume liquids filling and packaging equipment. Successful candidate must have a mechanical aptitude, have a desire to learn and highly motivated.


GMP & PPE Required

While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses as the tasks requires. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.


Schedule: 2-2-3, A shift (Days)


Essential Job Duties:

· Maintains safe and clean workshop, follows safety guidelines.

· Learn and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment but not limited to line changeovers.

· Learns the operation, repair and maintenance of plant equipment under the immediate supervisor or maintenance lead.

· Understand and adhere to Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures (LOTO), PPE, and all other Plant Safety / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements for maintaining machine up time.

· Under general supervision, apprentice will assists in the day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.

· Communicate with Production Team Lead, Supervisor and/or all other parties concerned of any issues, concerns, and/or changes.


Required Qualifications:

· High School diploma or vocational background preferred.

· 1-3 years technical experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment is desired.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

· Demonstrated interpersonal skills are required.

· Good communication skills – oral and written.

· Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

· Knowledge of the blow/injection molding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred but not required.
