Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Hialeah, Florida
Position Summary:
A healthcare organization is seeking a qualified and compassionate X-Ray Technician to join its clinical team. The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure radiation safety standards are followed for patients, staff, and self
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Adhere to all federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and regulations
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and safeguard patient confidentiality at all times
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to patients of diverse backgrounds
- Job responsibilities may be modified, expanded, reduced, or reassigned at any time based on operational needs and do not limit the duties of this position to those listed above
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and/or ARRT certification (as applicable)
- Previous experience as an X-Ray Technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed
- Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment
