Job Summary
The Service Cashier is responsible for processing point-of-sale transactions for the Service Department, as well as Parts merchandise and accessories. This includes handling credit/debit card transactions, managing cash, and assisting customers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Receive payments by cash, check, credit/debit cards, or house account.

Issue receipts, credits, or change due to customers.

Assist customers by providing information and answering inquiries in a friendly, helpful manner.

Use dealership management software (DMS) to process sales of goods and services.

Greet customers as they enter the Service lobby, creating a welcoming environment.

Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and complete other general cleaning tasks as needed.

Use paging systems to request assistance or information when necessary.

Count cash in drawers at the start of each shift to ensure accuracy.

Reconcile total payments received during shifts with total sales.

Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins for daily reconciliation.

Post charges to house accounts as needed.

Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.
