Warehouse Associate
Location: Davie, Florida
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm with some Saturdays
Pay: $18.00 hourly
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate. The ideal candidate will have forklift operating experience, computer skills, and hands-on experience in shipping and receiving. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and accurate inventory management while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and store materials.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect products for accuracy and damage, and verify quantities against packing slips.
- Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and shipping platforms to process orders and maintain inventory records.
- Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency and maintain cleanliness.
- Label, scan, and document shipments using barcode scanners and computer systems.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of forklift operating experience.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Experience with shipping and receiving operations is required.
- Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory reports.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
