Senior Planning & Control Engineer (L4 Autonomous Driving)

$200,000 – $300,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Package + Stock Options + PTO

Are you a highly skilled engineer with a background in autonomous vehicle planning and control, looking to take full ownership of cutting-edge L4 system development at a pioneering start-up with well over half a billion in funding?


This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, well-funded company at the forefront of autonomous trucking, where you’ll lead the development of Level 4 autonomous driving systems, focusing on learning-based planning, decision-making, and end-to-end model implementation – from architecture design and training to evaluation and deployment. You’ll build robust ML engineering workflows and data pipelines (including mining, annotation, versioning, and distribution) to support continuous model improvement, while conducting root cause analyses and optimizing system performance.


You'll collaborate with world-class engineers and researchers to lead the development of scalable, production-grade systems ready for real-world deployment, benefiting from ample resources that will be available to you.


This role is ideal for a technically sharp engineer seeking the autonomy to design, build, and optimize models that drive the future of autonomous freight.


The Role:

*Design & develop L4 planning and decision-making systems

*End-to-end model design, training, evaluation, and deployment

*Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support continuous model improvement


The Person:

*Experience in autonomous driving or related fields

*Strong background in ML techniques (CNNs, Transformers, Diffusion Models)

*Proficient in planning/control algorithms and scalable system design

*Fluent in Python and model development frameworks
