Pathologist's Assistant / Pathology Assistant
Baltimore, Maryland
Schedule Options:
- M-F 1p-9:30p (5x8, 40H/WK)
- M-F 9a-5:30p (5x8, 40H/WK)
Local Pay (within 50 miles of the worksite): $100/hour, OT = $150/hour after 40H
Travel Pay (50+ miles from the worksite): $4052 at 40H, $5012 at 48H, (Breakdown: $60/hour + $1652 Stipend), OT= $120/hour after 40H
Duties:
- Performs gross examination of complex surgical specimens, including dissection, description, and tissue sectioning of historical preparation.
- Performs specimen photography and radiography as needed
Requirements:
- Must be certified PA (ASCP or department of an approved certifying agency)
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Graduation from NAACLS-accredited Baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate Pathologist Assistant Training and ASCP BOR certified, or completion of a Bachelor's degree with a major/minor or equivalent in any of the biological or allied health sciences.
