The Produce Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the freshness and appeal of fruits, vegetables, and packaged produce within a busy retail environment. This position requires strong multitasking skills, comfort with phone communication, and a hands-on approach to order packing and product display. Working closely within a small team, the clerk ensures high-quality standards and excellent customer service through frequent direct interactions.
Responsibilities
- Take and process orders accurately via phone using paper-based records
- Pack produce orders efficiently, maintaining quality control
- Display fresh fruits, vegetables, and packaged produce attractively
- Interact frequently with customers to provide assistance and information
- Handle inventory management including stock replenishment and organization
- Maintain quality control to ensure produce freshness and appeal
- Perform moderate lifting tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment
