Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment, focusing on estate planning, probate, and trust administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills, coupled with expertise in legal documentation and case management.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a variety of legal documents, including wills, powers of attorney, living wills, healthcare advance directives, trusts, and deeds.
• Draft and manage legal and general correspondence to ensure clear and precise communication.
• Oversee the attorney's calendar, scheduling appointments and maintaining organized timelines.
• Manage cases from initiation to resolution, with a focus on probate and trust administration.
• Organize and maintain legal records and documents to ensure easy access and compliance.
• Perform administrative duties to support daily operations and improve efficiency.
• Assist with guardianship matters and the preparation of specialized forms, such as Form 706.
• Utilize document management systems like NetDocuments, HotDocs, or ProDocs to enhance workflow.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless case handling and client satisfaction.
• Minimum of three years of experience in estate planning, probate, or related legal fields.
• Proficiency in case management software and document preparation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of probate, estate administration, and trusts is a MUST.
• Experience with drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Ability to manage calendars and schedules efficiently.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
