Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Microsoft Teams Voice Specialist to lead and support the deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of Microsoft Teams Voice across a large-scale environment encompassing over 800 sites. This role is central to delivering a secure, enterprise-grade telephony experience integrated with modern collaboration tools. The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, system resilience, and compliance with federal standards.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
- This position is onsite 5/days a week in Washington D.C.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related IT discipline (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise telephony, including deploying Microsoft Teams and Enhanced VoIP (EVoIP) solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Teams Admin Center
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), SIP, VoIP, and enterprise voice routing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating legacy voice systems with Microsoft Teams
- Familiarity with PKI, STIGs, and federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience working in secure, classified federal environments
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Teams Voice Deployment: Assist in deploying and scaling Microsoft Teams Voice services across 800+ sites, ensuring seamless enterprise-wide telephony coverage
- Dial Plan & Feature Optimization: Maintain and optimize Microsoft Teams dial plans and voice features, including e911, voicemail, call queues, auto-attendants, and paging.
- System Integration: Integrate Teams telephony with existing enterprise workflows, ticketing systems, and collaboration platforms
- Infrastructure Management: Perform routine health and status checks on the voice and network infrastructure. Apply patches and updates to hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Test & Validation: Support testing environments by validating and certifying third-party VoIP endpoints and Analog Telephone Adapters in dev/test labs.
- Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, including STIGs. Review scan results and remediate vulnerabilities. Maintain valid and current PKI components.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Configure monitoring tools to track system health, uptime, and key telephony metrics. Generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Third-Party Integration: Enhance system capabilities through integration with external platforms and services
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for voice-related incidents and performance issues within the Teams ecosystem.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT, network, and security teams to deliver a secure and reliable Teams telephony experience across the enterprise.
