Market of Choice is hiring Grocery Store Managers in Portland, Oregon!
We are looking for self-motivated team players with a caring attitude, sense of urgency, and the desire to be integral in the operation of one of our Portland, Oregon area stores. This position is geared toward applicants with previous grocery and management experience.
Market of Choice is a growing, family-owned, local grocery company with 12 stores throughout Oregon. Management responsibilities include:
- Working with employees and the management team to set and accomplish goals
- Prioritizing and delegating daily tasks and long-term projects
- Developing and maintaining outstanding relations with customers and vendors
- Ordering and merchandising products
- Overseeing inventory and maintaining records
- Training, scheduling, hiring, and supervising employees
- Enforcing company policies and ensuring a safe environment for customers and employees
- Contributing to the financial success of the business by overseeing the operational performance of the store and controlling expenses
- Evaluating, coaching, and developing employees
- Recognizing and understanding factors that affect sales and implementing actions to improve sales
- Exercising good judgment and decision-making in response to customer and employee concerns
Minimum Job Requirements:
A successful Store Management candidate will live the company's values of integrity, resourcefulness and competence and exhibit the following traits:
- Must be willing to relocate to Oregon
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively on a team
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt and make on-the-go changes as needed
- Strong attention to detail
Preference will be given to applicants with previous grocery management or supervisory experience.
Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling required.
