Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC, a growing and collaborative mid-size law firm located in Edina, Minnesota, is seeking a motivated and organized Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Woodbury office. This role provides dedicated support to attorneys in a busy litigation practice and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, takes pride in detail-oriented work, and enjoys being an important part of a strong legal team.

The Litigation Legal Assistant plays a key role in helping attorneys manage case files, meet deadlines, maintain organization, and provide responsive support throughout all stages of the litigation process.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, works well under deadlines, and is comfortable supporting attorneys in a litigation-focused practice. Candidates must have at least one year of litigation legal assistant experience. An associate degree, paralegal certificate, or legal assistant certificate is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities in this role include preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents and correspondence; managing attorney calendars and scheduling deadlines; electronically filing documents with state and federal courts; maintaining electronic and physical case files; coordinating service of process and other case-related logistics; assisting with discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation; communicating with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors; and supporting billing and other administrative processes as needed.
The successful candidate will be dependable, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. A strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential in this role.

Salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $65,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.
