Job Title: Site Director
Business: INEOS Nitriles
Location: Lima, Ohio, USA
Purpose of the job:
The Lima Site Director manages all aspects relating to the operation of the Lima, Ohio Site including SHE, reliability, costs, quality, people, community and industrial neighbors. A number of inter-site agreements covering utilities and services are required at the site due to the connectivity of the various processes which were formerly under a single owner. The Site Director is called upon to provide an environment in which all businesses can achieve success while protecting the business interests of INEOS.
Environment/Context:
INEOS Nitriles is a global chemicals business with sales volume of 1200 kte and revenue in excess of $2.4 billion. The Nitriles business has 2 manufacturing operations in the US and 2 in Europe along with offices and headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland and Aurora, Illinois near Chicago. The Nitriles Business primary products include acrylonitrile, hydrogen cyanide, and acetonitrile. Additionally, Nitriles also has a plant that produces catalyst for internal use at the Lima Site, globally within INEOS, and for other Acrylonitrile producers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, secure, and legally compliant operations aligned with INEOS principles and regulatory standards.
- Lead cost control, budgeting, and strategic capital planning.
- Drive asset integrity, maintenance strategies, and operational reliability.
- Foster employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
- Maintain strong relationships with community leaders, regulatory bodies, and industrial partners.
- Represent INEOS in trade and safety councils and ensure high SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) standards.
Required Profile
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline; MBA a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years in chemical/refining operations with broad expertise across SHE, maintenance, finance, and logistics.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, technical and regulatory knowledge, and community engagement.
