Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator to join our plastic injection molding team in Honeoye, NY. This position is responsible for operating injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts in accordance with production and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Perform basic machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers as needed
- Inspect parts for quality, including visual checks and basic measurements
- Remove finished parts from machines, trim excess material, and prepare for packaging
- Maintain clean workstations and follow all safety protocols
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in plastic injection molding or machine operation preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
