• Responsibilities:
Their duties may include:
◦ Conducting investigations: Gathering facts, evidence, and information related to the case. 

◦ Interviewing individuals: Speaking with witnesses, the person under investigation, and other relevant parties. 

◦ Preparing reports: Documenting their findings and recommendations for the court. 

◦ Testifying in court: Presenting their findings and answering questions during legal proceedings. 


• Qualifications:
While specific requirements may vary, court-appointed investigators often need a background in law, law enforcement, military, social work, or a related field. They should also have no personal interest in the case and be able to conduct impartial investigations.
