We're seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss machines in a highly digital, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for machinists who enjoy solving complex manufacturing challenges, working with advanced equipment, and producing high-precision components.
Whether you're looking for a first-shift opportunity or a self-directed role supporting production on second shift, you'll play a key part in maintaining quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Programming
- Read and interpret blueprints, job routers, and manufacturing specifications.
- Set up CNC Swiss machines for new and repeat production jobs.
- Develop, edit, and optimize G-code programs.
- Utilize CAM software such as GibbsCAM or PartMaker to support programming and process development.
- Select and install cutting tools, workholding, and tooling components required for production.
Production & Process Control
- Operate CNC Swiss machines to produce high-precision components.
- Monitor machine performance and make tool offsets and process adjustments as needed.
- Perform tool changes and maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production runs.
- Support unattended or extended production operations, including second-shift manufacturing when applicable.
- Meet expectations for setup times, cycle times, quality, and productivity.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Verify conformance to blueprint specifications, GD&T requirements, and customer tolerances.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues to ensure consistent quality.
Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling records, and program documentation.
- Update routers and manufacturing documentation to improve repeatability and efficiency.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and organization of equipment, tooling, and work areas.
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills
- Hands-on experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC Swiss machines.
- Strong G-code programming experience.
- Experience with CAM software, preferably GibbsCAM or PartMaker.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Advanced shop mathematics including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, speeds and feeds, tooling, workholding, and material properties.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Indicators
- Comparators
- Other precision measurement tools
Professional Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in a highly digital, paperless manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tsugami Swiss machines.
- Experience in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified environments.
- Automation experience, including robotic machine tending.
- Aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing experience.
- Experience creating setup documentation and standardized machining processes.
- Continuous improvement and process optimization experience.

Work Environment
Our facility is clean, organized, climate controlled, and fully digital. Every workstation is equipped with computer access for electronic work instructions, blueprint viewing, setup documentation, production tracking, and time management.
