Job DescriptionRole/Title: DOCSIS / CPE Test & Validation Engineer – Networking QALocation: Bethpage, NY (Onsite)Type: Long-Term Contract – W2/C2C

Primary Skills (Must-Have):

• Hands-on CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) testing – cable modems, routers.
• Strong knowledge of DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification).
• Understanding of TR-069 protocol for remote device management.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching).

Application of Primary Skills:

• Test and validate CPE device features in a QA lab environment for new software/hardware releases.

Secondary Skills (Nice-to-Have):

• Knowledge of video protocols (e.g., MPEG, RTP, RTSP).
• Experience with video management systems.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN / SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions.

Application of Secondary Skills:

• Assist in testing and debugging complex issues involving video or network services.

Ideal Candidate Background:

• 4–8+ years in QA/testing of broadband or networking devices.
• Telecom / Cable / ISP industry experience preferred.
• Experience working in lab/QA environments with CPE hardware.
