As a Maintenance Technician II, you will leverage your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Your role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment within the site, reacting promptly to breakdowns, and ensuring high levels of equipment availability for internal customers. You will also manage contractors, control compliance tasks, and oversee the management of high severity tickets, spare parts inventory, and cleaning and waste companies.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across the facility.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49 lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
- 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries.
- Experience with conveyors and other material handling equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and Safety standards.
- Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience with PLC based controls systems.
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, predominantly featuring robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and numbers, though micromanagement is not practiced. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps per day and lift up to 49 lbs as part of the job. Flexibility for any 10-hour shift is required, as positions are available for all shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.50 - $30.50/hr.
