HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Key Largo, FL

THE BASICS
Location: Key Largo, FL
Pay: $32–$50/hour, based on experience and skill level
Service Area: Primarily local, with minimal travel outside the immediate area
Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, full 40 hours/week year-round (no seasonal downtime)
On-Call: Rotating, roughly every third week — $250/week stipend regardless of call volume, plus time-and-a-half for after-hours service calls
Reports To: Owner/Operator

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run service calls independently — diagnose and repair issues without hand-holding
Perform preventative maintenance on residential systems
Handle new system installs and change-outs
Prioritize urgent no-cool calls (target response time within an hour) and be willing to shift jobs mid-task to handle them
Work on a mix of service, maintenance, and installation throughout the week

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

Ability to run a service call solo and diagnose/repair issues from day one — no training wheels
Comfortable working on standard residential air conditioning systems
Valid, clean driver's license
Ability to pass an extensive background check (required for site access)

Nice to Have (not required):

EPA Universal certification
Experience with premium residential HVAC brands
Ductless mini-split system experience
