Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a blended Pediatrics/Adult Women's Med-Surg unit requiring PALS certification and comfort caring for both pediatric and adult patients.
Details\n

- 20-bed blended Medical-Surgical unit caring for pediatric and adult female patients
- Acute care setting at a Level 2 Trauma facility
- Average census of approximately 11 patients, with pediatric census increasing during RSV season
- Patient ratio goal of up to 5 patients per RN, dependent on census and staffing
- Core staffing of 3 RNs per shift with centralized hospital staffing office managing floats
- Agency RNs are first to float when census is down and must be comfortable caring for adult patients
- 12-hour day shifts
- EPIC EMR system in use, with EPIC conversion beginning 3/21/2025

Requirements\n

- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience with EPIC required within the past year

Additional Information\n

- Provide nursing care to a mix of pediatric and adult female Med-Surg patients
- No RTO permitted between 3/21 and 4/18 due to EPIC conversion
- Cancellation policy allows facility to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract or 2 shifts per 12-week or shorter contract
