Salary Range: $125-$130k
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy complex network, Voice and Firewall architectures (Fortinet), including LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN and wireless networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance and scalability.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security protocols and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control policies. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure network integrity.
· Telephony System Management: Manage and maintain the organization's telephony infrastructure, including PBX systems, call routing configurations, voicemail systems, and auto-attendants. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of telephony systems.
- Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and proactively resolve them. Perform root cause analysis for network outages and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Project Leadership: Lead network-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and develop implementation plans.
- Network Optimization: Continuously evaluate network performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Implement network optimization techniques, such as load balancing, traffic shaping, and QoS.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance, capacity, and security status.
- Team Mentoring and Collaboration: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, software developers, and cybersecurity professionals, to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other IT components.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to network engineering. Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and tools that can enhance the organization's network infrastructure.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, SD-WANs, and VPNs.
- Strong experience with network equipment, including Cisco routers, Cisco Nexus and Fortiswitches, Fortinet firewalls, and load balancers from leading vendors (NetScaler).
- Strong hands-on experience with network security protocols and tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and VPN technologies (Fortinet EMS and SASE).
- Proficiency in network monitoring (IT and OT) and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, NetFlow, and packet analyzers.
· Understanding of OT Networks, PCLs and SCADA systems.
- Experience with Azure NSG, VNet, and firewalls.
- Proficient in voice technologies, including VoIP, SIP, telephony gateways, and SBC.
- Strong understanding of telephony protocols, such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Experience with telephony systems, such as PBX systems, call managers, unified communication platforms, and Cloud VoIP solutions like Microsoft Teams Phone.
- Familiarity with voice network equipment, including gateways, IP phones, media servers, and telephony interfaces.
- Proven track record of successfully leading network projects from conception to implementation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
