A travel pharmacist opportunity awaits at a leading Level I Trauma Center with a 1,500-bed children’s hospital. This role offers a valuable chance to make an impact within pediatric and inpatient pharmacy settings, supporting diverse clinical and operational pharmacy functions.
Location: Troy, NY (travel role with flexible relocation options)Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: November 2Shift Schedule:
- Mix of day and evening shifts
- Rotating weekends
- 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on pediatric and women's health
- Staff clinical areas relevant to experience or manage operational pharmacy tasks, including pharmacist in charge and sterile processing
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems efficiently
- Ensure accurate dispensing and clinical support in a fast-paced hospital environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience
- PGY1 residency training preferred; alternatively, 2-3 years of direct inpatient experience
- Experience with pediatric and women’s health pharmacy is advantageous
- Must maintain or obtain a CT Pharmacist license (acquisition time of 7-10 days)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and automated dispensing systems (EPIC, Pyxis)
