Position Summary:
The Legal Assistant will work on all aspects of litigation in a wide range of cases and work on issues in advance of litigation to eliminate litigation exposure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondence and legal documents (e.g. discovery responses, privilege logs, exhibit lists, release and settlements, garnishments, pleadings, summaries, chronologies, spreadsheets, charts and logs) for attorney's approval.
- Create, organize, maintain and prepare files (electronic and physical) for court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions and trials.
- Support document production processes, including organizing and preparing materials for production in compliance with discovery obligations.
- Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, docket deadlines and key dates.
- Gather and analyze evidence and relevant information needed to support case issues.
- Develop and maintain internal tracking tools for various matters.
- Work with busy customer service department regarding various claims.
- Conduct internet research, e.g., tracking senate and house bills, obtaining recording information from county websites, identifying trademark infringements.
- Ensure all work is completed with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Serve as a liaison between in-house counsel and outside counsel.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma required. Associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
- At least 5 years of legal experience. Knowledge of litigation or construction law preferred.
- Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS and ZOOM.

Other Requirements:
- Assist with various project and model row Grand Opening events which may occasionally require overtime weekend hours (2 - 3 times per year).
