Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) – Sterile Compounding Pharmacy

Concepts Rx is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to join our growing compounding pharmacy team.
\n
This is a hands-on leadership position for a pharmacist who takes pride in quality, patient safety, compliance, and developing a strong pharmacy team. The PIC will oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and work closely with pharmacy technicians, ownership, and management to maintain high standards throughout our sterile compounding operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional and operational oversight of pharmacy activities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements, USP standards, and federal and state pharmacy regulations.
- Oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure established policies, procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Review and verify prescriptions, calculations, formulations, compounding records, labeling, and final preparations as required.
- Supervise, train, and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, recordkeeping, quality-control procedures, and regulatory records are maintained.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, preparation, and dispensing of compounded medications.
- Participate in quality assurance, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous process improvement.
- Help prepare the pharmacy for inspections, audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews.
- Promote a professional, organized, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Work closely with management to continuously improve pharmacy operations, efficiency, quality, and patient care.

Qualifications
\n

- Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Experience with sterile compounding strongly preferred.
- Previous PIC, supervisory, or pharmacy leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of sterile compounding standards and pharmacy compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
- Comfortable leading and mentoring pharmacy technicians.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Someone who is dependable, professional, knowledgeable, and takes pride in doing things the right way.
