Job Details



Associate – Patent Practice (Life Sciences Focus)

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in the life sciences sector across areas such as molecular diagnostics, genomics, immunology, biotech tools, interventional medicine, and optics.
Draft and prosecute patent applications with a strategic focus on business objectives.
Advise clients on patent portfolio development and intellectual property strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align patent strategy with commercial goals.
Stay current on laws and regulations governing the patent process and USPTO practice.

Qualifications

3–6 years of experience in patent law, preferably with a focus on life sciences.
Degree in biological sciences required.
Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Experience in the legal or business development side of biotechnology.
Strong understanding of the patent process and regulatory landscape.
Business-minded approach to patent strategy.
Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
Self-motivated and team-oriented.
