FinOps Consultant (Cloud Financial Operations)
100% ONSITE in Washington DC 20006
Per Federal contract U.S. Citizenship Required
Must be able to pass enhanced background screen (criminal, financial, drug) for Public Trust clearance
W-2 or C2C

Performance Period: 04/26- 12/31/26, with the possibility of extension.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field and 10 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in setting up and supporting cloud cost management software for the Federal Reserve Board.
- Onboard new users; create widgets, dashboards and reports.
- Prepare documentation and user guides.
- Compare data sets to ensure consistency.
- Draft presentations and reports as needed.
Knowledge
- Has a solid foundation in cloud computing concepts and terminology
- Understanding of AWS cloud computing services (desired)
- Basic knowledge of FinOps (i.e. cloud cost management) principles
- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and best practices
- Knowledge of IBM Cloudability or similar FinOps tools (desired but not required)
Skills
- Technical Skills: - Proficient in creating and analyzing data visualizations, charts, and pivot tables (Excel/Power BI) - Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) - Ability to manipulate and analyze datasets
- Soft Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, highly technical teams - Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and tools - Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with data analysis and reporting
- Experience and/or certification in cloud computing environments (AWS preferred)
- Prior work with FinOps tools or cloud cost optimization (a plus)
