Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist

At Ernie Ball/Music Man, we’ve spent decades building instruments and strings that inspire musicians around the world. Behind every bass, guitar, and pack of strings is a team dedicated to quality, precision, and craftsmanship—including our Accounting team. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who brings that same attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

About the Role

As part of our Accounting team, you’ll keep our production lines moving by making sure vendors are paid accurately and on time. You’ll support Purchasing, Receiving, and Manufacturing teams while helping maintain the financial rhythm that keeps our operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Process and code vendor invoices, including purchase order (PO) matching and three-way matching.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Receiving, and Production to resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain organized accounts payable records.
  • Assist with month-end close, accruals, and inventory-related invoices.
  • Support a fast-paced manufacturing environment with accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for approximately 50 individual company credit card accounts, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
  • Manage DMV compliance and registration requirements for approximately 100 company-owned and family-owned vehicles.
  • Manage end-to-end international accounts payable processes, including deposit tracking, balance payments, and post-delivery reconciliations.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-heavy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, accurate work.
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
  • Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently solve problems in situations requiring quick resolution.
  • Ability to balance routine operations with urgent, ad hoc requests.
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all matters.
