Responsibilities
Summary
Acts as a liaison for information systems problem management. Screens, diagnoses and/or refers inquiries and requests related to the performance and maintenance of personal computers and related systems
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers inquiries and requests from both internal and external customers regarding issues with personal computers, standard operating systems, standard software packages, networking, and printers.
- Performs first level troubleshooting to resolve basic problems. Refers more complex problems to the appropriate support personnel or vendor.
- Maintains Company database tracking incoming help desk requests, status and resolution.
- Assists employees with cellular equipment tracking and support. Contacts cellular vendors to evaluate plans. Recommends and executes vendor changes.
- Creates users for internal Company database, makes modifications as needed.
- Creates and maintains users in MS Exchange and Active Directory.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree is Information Technology or related field preferred.
- One to two years (1-2) related work experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Working knowledge of past and current versions of MS Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
- Ability to type 20 wpm.
- Knowledge of cellular plans, usage and vendors.
- Basic knowledge of database maintenance.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
- Current Driver’s License and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle required for travel.
- United States citizenship required.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
