Summary:
The Help Desk Specialist I provides support to the SEC Facilities Branch by monitoring and responding to Facilities Help Desk emails and phone calls (M–F, 7:00am–6:00pm, excluding Federal Holidays). This role ensures timely, high-quality service to staff and assists with facilities, space management, and move coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to Facilities Help Desk requests within 15 minutes.
- Track, update, and close work orders; maintain department files.
- Assist with planning and coordinating office moves and relocations.
- Support furniture installation, removal, and reconfiguration.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and SEC teams to resolve issues.
- Provide reports on open/closed work orders and project status.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with work order systems, email platforms, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of facilities, moves, or furniture coordination a plus.
