Job DescriptionDatabase Administrator
Location: Washington DC

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support enterprise Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other approved database platforms, including operations, security, performance, backup, recovery, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, patch, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Support database migrations, installations, configuration, and change management.
Manage database security, access controls, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability remediation.
Monitor and tune database performance, storage, queries, indexes, and capacity.
Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, clustering, replication, and failover solutions.
Produce health, performance, capacity, backup, incident, and compliance reports.
Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines.
Required Skills
10 years of enterprise database administration experience.
Strong experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments.
Experience with backup/recovery, disaster recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of database security hardening, compliance, and hybrid/cloud-integrated database environments.
Strong documentation, reporting, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft SQL Server / Azure Database certifications,
Oracle Certified Professional,
CompTIA Security+, or ITIL Foundation.
