Applied Innovation is seeking a Solution Engineer to join our Technology Professional Services team. The primary focus of this position will be to provide excellent customer service for our Applied Innovation clients. This will be achieved through the following:
- Performing Technical Surveys alongside Sales and VCIO’s for new projects.
- Providing Technical insights to Project Scope Reviews.
- Creating Statements of Work (SOWs) that can be accurately delivered upon within a budget.
- Delivering upon Projects based on SOWs created by themselves or peers.
- Configuring hardware based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Installing and supporting all forms of IT hardware, including workstations, servers and network infrastructure devices at the clients’ location.
- Providing troubleshooting techniques during deployments.
- Researching and implementing solutions.
- Communicating in an upbeat, positive and professional manner.
- Following up with clients when appropriate.
- Keeping up to date on new software and hardware.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as project demands may require evening and weekend work.
- Successfully managing time with little management oversight.
Skills: This position will be responsible for having intermediate knowledge of, and ability to troubleshoot, the following:
- Current workstation operating systems for PC and Mac platforms
- Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
- Active Directory Domain Services
- Azure Web Virtual Environments
- Server Administration and Active Directory DS
- On-prem Exchange and EXO
- Meraki Networks
- All standard networking protocols.
- Network storage devices.
- Phones and mobile devices
- PC and Server hardware
- AV/EDR applications
- S2S and Client VPNs
- Hypervisor Management
Requirements Include:
- Minimum of one industry certification:
- Cisco CCNA or higher
- Comptia NET+ or higher
- M365 Certified Administrator Expert
- Other advanced IT certification
- 5+ years’ experience working in IT
