Job Description
Assists staff attorneys with various aspects of legal work, including research, document drafting and interviews. Must be detail-oriented with heightened organizational, time management and task prioritization skills.
Assist with administrative hearing and trial preparation.
Conduct legal research to determine precedence or to help build a case.
Draft legal documents, including affidavits, subpoenas, motions, briefs, deposition notices, decisions on motions and decision and orders.
Arrange appointments and correspond with parties and representatives.
SKILLS
Demonstrated aptitude/proficiency in:
Legal writing, Law/legal terminology, Legal processes and procedures
Research (Westlaw), Investigation, Interviewing
Word, Excel, Appointment setting
Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, pre-law, legal studies or related field or employment as a paralegal in a law firm or government setting.
