Purpose of Position

To consistently maintain the maximum cleanliness, comfort and appeal of all public areas and guest halls areas.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities to include the following: (other duties may be assigned. Management also reserves the right to change or modify position descriptions from time-to-time to meet the needs of the business with or without notice).

• Polish all public area surfaces to the highest possible shine.
• Perform general cleaning duties in public areas and general dusting of public areas.
• Clean and re-stock all public area and employee restrooms.
• Clean/polish designated back-of-house corridors, guest elevators, stairwells.
• Vacuum all public area carpets to maintain the best possible appearance and to prolong the life of the carpets.
• Maintain exterior grounds of hotel: sidewalks clean of debris, check all planters for debris, and check for debris/trash on exterior of Lodge.
• Restock any public area supply closets.
• Remove all trash from guest landings and corridors and office spaces.
• Report any work orders to your supervisor/manager.
• Clean and re-stock fitness room as needed.
• Have working knowledge of cleaning products and materials in accordance with OSHA regulations and the hotel safety guidelines.
• Have the ability to interact verbally and effectively with all hotel guests and employees in a polite and positive manner.
• Any other tasks as assigned by Director of Housekeeping or Supervisor.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Fluency in English is required, additional language ability is a bonus
• Ability to read, speak and write English

• WORK ENVIRIONMENT
• This is a very fast paced busy environment
• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by The Liberty Hotel from time-to-time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
• Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Lodge
• Multitasking
• This position is monitored by direct/indirect supervision to ensure all unit procedures are adhered to.
• Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with The Mountain Lodge at Telluride’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the Lodge.
• SAFETY and SANITATION
• At all times safety and health hazards should be foremost in the minds of all employees. All employees must acquaint themselves with OSHA Standards regarding proper use, disposal and storage of chemicals, must practice common sense and not expose themselves to any work procedures which are not within the bounds of good safe practice or in MLT’s Safety Procedures.

Education/Vocational Experience

The education, specialized training, required licenses or certifications and/or years of directly related experience required to enter this job:

• High School Diploma minimum preferred.
• At least one year related experience preferred.
