American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

- Medical Surgical unit setting
- 1:5 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
- Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements\n
- \n
- Active IN or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
- Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
- Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions
- Driver's license required for consideration

- Care for patients with a wide range of medical-surgical, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, and neurological conditions
- Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
- Strong teamwork, self-direction, time management, and communication skills required
- Fast-paced work environment requiring adaptability
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
- Call-offs restricted to no more than one week of RTO
- Completion of facility training modules required prior to start and annually
- Candidates should indicate holiday availability at time of consideration
- First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
