Position / Roll

Land Design Consultants, Inc. (LDC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Office Surveyor / Mapper to join our team in Monrovia, California.

This position offers a combination of office and field-related responsibilities and is ideal for a survey professional who understands the process from field data collection through preparation of the final deliverable. The successful candidate will work closely with survey crews and engineering staff to coordinate projects and ensure accurate, timely project completion.

Position Responsibilities

The Office Surveyor / Mapper will be responsible for a variety of surveying and mapping tasks, including:

• Preparing and processing ALTA/NSPS Surveys
• Survey linework, drafting, and mapping
• Preparing engineering topographic surveys
• Preparing condominium plans
• Preparing final tract maps, parcel maps, and records of survey
• Preparing legal descriptions and exhibits
• Performing construction staking calculations
• Performing boundary survey calculations
• Reviewing and processing field survey data
• Coordinating with survey crews on project requirements and field data
• Working closely with project engineers and other technical staff
• Supporting projects from field data collection through final deliverables
• Utilizing land surveying software and technology
• Working with surveying equipment and data, including Total Stations and GPS/GNSS equipment

Required Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) license required
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred/required
• Minimum 3–5 years of land surveying experience
• Minimum 3 years of ALTA survey experience
• Strong experience with boundary survey calculations
• Experience coordinating with survey crews
• Experience with land surveying software
• Experience with Total Station, GPS/GNSS, and related surveying equipment
• Strong proficiency with:
• • Civil 3D
  • Trimble Business Center
  • Trimble Access
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• L.S.I.T. certification
• 5–10 years of professional surveying experience
• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Experience taking projects from field collection through final mapping and deliverables
