Federal Security Clearance: This position requires U.S. citizenship to meet the requirement of obtaining U.S. Secret Security clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and modify websites
- Convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible web formats
- Create back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms
- Analyze user needs to implement web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity
- Integrate web sites with other computer applications
- Keep up-to-date on web developments and trends
- Build, test, and maintain the backend functionality of WooCommerce store page
- Conduct code and web system reviews to identify and correct gaps in performance and/or functionality while optimizing websites’ speed, and scalability.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the website’s search performance using Google Search Console tools such as the Index Coverage report and Google Analytics.
- Conduct regular security audits, testing and debugging to safeguard web applications and ensure code accuracy and functionality.
- Develop and implement application policies, procedures, and standards and ensure their conformance with applicable laws and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Established experience related to web design, development, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) to develop clean, maintainable code.
- Demonstrated experience in back-end technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Go, Ruby on Rails, or Python.
- Demonstrated experience developing open-source CMS, such as WordPress.
- Experience using Azure to create, host and manage web and mobile applications preferred.
- Experience using app containers across diverse environments on-premises and in the cloud.
- Proven ability with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Proven ability to design and develop in a manner that pays close attention to responsiveness and accessibility.
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git to manage changes to source code, collaborate, and experiment without damaging the codebase.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting online payment platforms, such as Stripe, preferred.
Salary Range: $63,000-$70,000
