Job Summary:
The A/C Service Technician repairs various air quality systems. The main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join Harrington's growing service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems while delivering an outstanding customer experience at every call.
The ideal technician is skilled, dependable, professional, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues and implement effective solutions
- Install and replace components including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, and refrigerant lines
- Test system performance using proper diagnostic tools and procedures
- Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding findings, recommendations, and options
- Accurately complete service documentation in ServiceTitan
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
- Follow all safety protocols, EPA guidelines, and company policies
- Participate in on-call rotation and support overtime as needed during peak seasons
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience
- EPA 608 Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Professional appearance, communication, and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- NATE Certification
- Experience with heat pumps, mini-splits, and high-efficiency systems
- Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- One-year related experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
- Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
- Heavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to time.
- Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted.
- Operate handheld power tools.
- Wear personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day, as needed.
Working Environment:
- Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes, and they may work in cramped, awkward positions. They may work outdoors in all weather conditions and may be required to climb ladders or work on a roof.
