We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with direct commercial printing experience to oversee complex print projects from estimate through final delivery.

This role is intended for candidates with established experience in commercial printing. Applicants without hands-on print industry experience will not be considered.

Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple high-value print projects simultaneously, serving as the primary liaison between clients, sales, estimating, prepress, production, bindery, and fulfillment. This role requires a strong technical understanding of printing processes, materials, schedules, and finishing—Specific to the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Print Project Management
• Manage print projects from order entry and estimating through manufacturing, finishing, fulfillment, and delivery.
• Review job specifications, schedules, and production plans for accuracy and feasibility.
• Serve as the internal point of contact coordinating prepress, press, bindery, fulfillment, and shipping.

Client & Internal Communication

• Communicate clearly with clients regarding specifications, schedules, changes, and approvals.
• Proactively manage expectations and resolve issues before they impact quality or delivery.
• Work closely with sales to support client relationships and repeat business.

Production & Workflow Oversight

• Interpret print specifications including substrates, ink systems, press requirements, finishing, and packaging.
• Identify potential production challenges and recommend solutions.
• Monitor schedules and ensure jobs move efficiently through the plant.

Quality, Cost & Schedule Control

• Ensure projects meet quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.
• Review and document change orders.
• Participate in post-job reviews to identify process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a commercial printing environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of:
• • Offset and digital printing workflows
  • Prepress processes
  • Bindery and finishing operations
  • Print specifications, materials, and tolerances
• Ability to read, interpret, and question print job tickets and production specs.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple production departments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

General project management experience from construction, IT, marketing agencies, or other non-print industries does not meet the requirements for this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with high-end print, packaging, or specialty finishing.
• Familiarity with MIS/ERP systems used in printing environments.
• Experience managing complex, multi-component projects.
• Background working directly with sales and customer service teams.
