Pay Range: $75k - $85k + bonus

Connect Search is hiring an Accountant in Port Washington

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month end closing activities.

\n

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances.

\n

• Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

\n

• Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.

\n

• Assist with cost accounting analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing related reporting.

\n

• Analyze production and operational costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

\n

• Support inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes.

\n

• Partner with the accounting team to improve and streamline accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial processes.

\n

• Participate in ERP system enhancements, automation projects, and technology initiatives.

\n

• Help document, update, and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

\n

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

\n

• Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.

\n

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision making.

\n

• Assist with annual audits and coordinate requests from external auditors.

\n

• Support compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.

\n

• Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

\n

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

\n

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.

\n

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
