Compensation: $95,000–$125,000
Bonus: 12.5%
Relocation: $15,000
A leading heavy industrial manufacturer is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives at a major production facility in Three Forks, MT. This role is ideal for a resultsdriven environmental professional with strong regulatory knowledge and experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
About the Role
The Environmental Engineer will manage air and water compliance programs, support permitting activities, conduct inspections and audits, and analyze environmental performance data. This position works closely with plant leadership, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental compliance programs and permitting activities
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and corrective action followup
- Prepare environmental reports and maintain compliance records
- Support regulatory inspections and demonstrate compliance
- Analyze environmental performance data and communicate results
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of required reports
- Assess environmental risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support sampling, testing, and monitoring of regulated pollutants
- Provide environmental training and support sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (or experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
- 2+ years of environmental compliance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of NSPS, PSD/NSR, NESHAP, and Title V air regulations
- Familiarity with state environmental regulations
- Experience in cement, lime, or other heavy industrial sourcecategory industries preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
