HEAD COUNSELOR -- CAMP COLONIE (Summer 2026)

Job DescriptionLocation: Colonie Golf & Country Club (Voorheesville, NY)
Dates: June 29 – August 7, 2026 (Weekdays)
Hours: Approx. 8:00am–4:30pm daily
Type: Seasonal / Short-Term
Compensation: $17–$18.50/hr (based on experience)
Camp Colonie seeks positive and responsible Head Counselors to help lead our six-week kids camp program for rising Kindergarteners through rising Sixth graders with golf, tennis, swimming, arts & crafts, weekly themes, and special activities.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support daily camp operations, schedules & camper transitions
• Supervise & assist counselors
• Promote positive camp culture & engagement
• Assist with attendance, logistics & occasional parent communication
• Enforce safety rules & DOH guidelines
• Coordinate with tennis, golf & aquatics staff
• Assist with set-up, clean-up & end-of-day procedures
• Other duties as assigned by Camp Director
Qualifications
• Experience working with children preferred (camp, recreation, education, sports, after-school)
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• CPR/AED certified or ability to obtain prior to camp
• Strong communication & group management skills
• Positive, reliable & willing to work outdoors
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by DOH
