We currently have an opening for a Data Architect. This position involves working with various clients to provide data-driven solutions that drive real change in both government and commercial non-profit missions.

Summit is a quantitative analytics firm that uses economics, statistics, and data science to solve problems for our federal and private-sector clients. Our services in federal infrastructure finance, federal lending, evidence-based program evaluation, and enforcement analytics help make government effective and society just.

We are looking for a data engineer to build data integration solutions that help federal agencies analyze data more efficiently and run their agencies more effectively. · Creating cloud-based solutions to facilitate the missions of critical government agencies and private-sector companies

· Collaborating with a cross-functional team of business analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and full-stack developers

· Developing solutions for customized software and data pipelines using modern cloud computing services


Requirements for this position include the following:

· 10+ years proven experience in data architecture and database design, implementation, and administration

· 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing data pipelines including ETL and data management services in Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure

· 5+ years of experience developing and managing Oracle and SQLServer databases

· Proven ability to manage complex data architecture tasks for data-driven solutions

· Highly proficient in SQL and Python

· Experience providing technical direction and oversight to junior staff

· Bachelor's degree

· Ability to obtain a public trust clearance


Bonus qualifications:

· AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certification

· Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Containerization
