What You’ll Do
• Troubleshoot installed commercial A/V systems at customer sites
• Perform FRU-level diagnostics and component replacement
• Work with displays, racks, switchers, DSPs, amplifiers, and cabling
• Use digital multimeters and diagnostic tools to isolate faults
• Run, terminate, and test HDMI, USB, Coax, and Cat5/Cat6
• Travel across Chicago and the Midwest most weeks
• Manage service calls, documentation, and customer communication
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years of A/V, electronics, or low-voltage field service experience
• Hands-on troubleshooting (not ticket-only or bench repair)
• Experience with installed commercial A/V systems
• Comfort working independently at customer sites
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
This Role Is Not a Fit If
• You want remote or hybrid work
• Your background is primarily IT helpdesk or networking
• You prefer bench, shop, or warehouse roles
• You are not comfortable with frequent travel
