We are looking for a Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator for our office located in the Bronx, New York.

The Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering the office. They will greet patients, sign them into the computer scheduling system, schedule future appointments, handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner, receive and process payments, among other office duties. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring every patient is provided with the best possible care.

Schedule:

  • Mondays 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Tuesdays 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Wednesdays 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Thursdays 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Friday 8:30am to 2:00pm/3:00pm (Depending on time of year)
  • ***WAGE IS NEGOTIABLE***
  • This position is Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
  • Respond to patient questions and/or concerns professionally and correctly
  • Answer telephones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain appointment book via practice management software program
  • Confirm appointments
  • Follow-up on no shows/cancellation of appointments
  • Register new patients
  • Sign-in patients upon arrival
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
  • Research patient insurances
  • Collect and process payments
  • Review finances with patients
  • Check voicemail on a daily basis
  • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients

Desired skills:

  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience, preferred
  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking
  • Ability to answer telephone in a professional manner
  • Provide stellar customer service
  • Excellent math skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Professional appearance/demeanor
  • Positive attitude
  • Well-spoken & dependable
