Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Project Manager will lead and oversee complex electrical construction projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This individual will manage multiple industrial and commercial projects simultaneously—most notably within oil & gas and energy infrastructure—and serve as a key liaison between field operations, engineering, clients, and executive leadership.
This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong technical and financial acumen, and fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of assigned electrical construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations in alignment with company objectives.

Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate across estimating, prefabrication, field supervision, and safety teams.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring open communication and customer satisfaction.

Oversee project documentation, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and progress reports.

Collaborate with the estimating team to support bid reviews and ensure scope alignment.

Monitor job cost performance and forecast project financials to meet profitability goals.

Drive safety and quality standards on all job sites through consistent communication and enforcement of company policies.

Mentor and develop project engineers, assistant PMs, and field leaders.

Partner with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery, preconstruction planning, and client relationships.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

8+ years of progressive project management experience within the electrical contracting industry.

Proven track record leading industrial, commercial, or oil & gas electrical projects from $1M–$10M+.

Strong knowledge of NEC codes, Class 1 Div 1/Div 2 installations, and industrial automation systems.

Experience managing prefabrication workflows, design/build, and design-assist delivery models.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and estimating or ERP systems preferred.

Ability to travel to job sites within North Dakota and Montana as needed.
