Purpose and role of job:
Responsible for calculating accurate tallies of finished goods and raw materials, supplying raw materials to production as needed.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
· Communicating between incoming and outgoing shifts all information for warehouses that affects production and warehouse areas.
· Calculates accurate tallies and documentation during the loading, unloading, and warehouse process.
· Inspects all equipment used daily and report defects to Management.
· Maintains efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation.
· Maintains good housekeeping in the warehouse area.
· Supports production lines with material requests.
· Provides accurate and legible paperwork to maintain an accurate database.
· Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories daily.
· Operates the Radio Frequency Gun to conduct movements, barcode, and inventories.
· Assists with repack and labeling operations when necessary.
· Observe all safety rules and always use proper safety equipment.
· Ensure the quality of the palletized product and store it in accordance with warehouse policies and procedures.
· Assist in the performance of preventative maintenance.
· Provide accurate and legible documentation of any issues and concerns.
· Provide accurate and legible documentation of product changes.
· Supply production lines with raw materials upon request and manage material replenishment.
· Transport, store, and inventory finished goods using forklifts and RF systems.
· Load transfer trailers and handle warehouse material movements safely.
· Process scrap, recyclable, and used material streams according to procedures.
· Manage damaged and rework materials through physical and electronic inventory controls.
· Perform housekeeping, equipment operation, and general warehouse support functions.
· Complete all required monthly assignments in LMS.
· Cross train for Shipping and secondary warehouse duties.
· Maintain 95% or above completion in LMS training up to and including completion of Line Driver and maintain all equipment certifications.
· Follow the proper procedures of Lock Out Tags policy.
· Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education and experience requirements:
· HS diploma or equivalent required
· Knowledge of product codes.
· Strong mathematical skills.
· Ability to operate a forklift.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
· Ability to operate computer equipment.
· Able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision.
Work Environment:
Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses. Other PPE required based upon specific tasks. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
Physical Requirements:
· Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.
· Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
· Occasional climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams.
· Occasional reaching overhead during shift.
· Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver.
· Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs.
· Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control.
· Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
· Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.
· Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
· Occasional climbing of steps.
· Balance required for some tasks.
